Salimati Mpolisima

Salimati, 15 years of age, is one of the more exemplary girls in her school. She is in Senior One, but surprisingly, this girl pays fees for her self. After realizing the poverty at her home, Salimati got involved in business at school because she wanted to attain an education, and not to be like her parents who didn't have education at all. Right now they are facing a lot of challenges financially.

Students have always laughed at this young girl, while selling her pancakes and cassava chips, but she doesn't mind so long as she get a daily earning, which she later on totals up for her fees.

However, In doing this, she has run into problems; like arriving for a lesson very late, being called nicknames by the students and some teachers, discouragements over school fees debts, and other troubles that have led to a poor performance in her studies. Salimati is not settled at all. Sometimes she thinks of giving up. But then she remembers she wants to study.

Don't you admire Sali's spunk and initiative? How would you like to help out by paying her next semester's $200 school fees? It would be interesting to follow this girl and see what she makes of herself. Salimati is going to be a woman to reckon with in the future!
