Ruth Nakya

Ruth Nakya, is 16 years of age and very much in need of $200 per semester for her secondary studies.

She can't tell whether her parents are live or dead because she grew up not seeing either of the two. Ruth was adopted by a merciful person, who says that she picked Ruth on her way back home. This lady has looked after her up to this point.

Ruth has been studying freely with the universal primary education introduced by the Government of Uganda. Her performance was very pleasing. She entered secondary education for a few school terms, but then her education was interrupted. Why? The adoptive woman could not afford any more of the secondary school fees.

Ruth now works in peoples' gardens and fetches water for people, so that at the end of this year she can at least contribute little to pay toward her school fees. Her situation is not good at all.

The lady she stays with can't help her much because she has no job. But Ruth is a hard working girl. As soon as Ruth was aware of her situation, she has made herself busy with handcraft work which earns her a little money to meet her other personal needs.

We met Ruth in her local church where she ministered well and every body was touched by her self-composed songs. She is a very good worshiper and loves God so much.
