Martha Nafula

Martha is only 12 years old, but already in need of $200 to enter Senior Two in secondary (high school) school.

She has been getting her fees in a miraculous way. Her parents are poor and have many children of which they mostly favour boys' education over a girl's education. The little money the parents get from their business is reserved for her brothers whom the parents value so much more than Martha, a girl.

One of Martha's sisters gave up after hearing a comment from her father that he had no money to waste on a girl's education. But Martha's science teacher who knew her as a polite, brilliant girl, advised her not to give up, but to believe God will help her through. So she wants to press on with her education.

Martha leads a choir of about 200 children and more in her church! She is a committed young Christian who loves God with all her heart.
