Joyce Achen

Joyce Achen, age 22, is an orphaned daughter of the late Mr. Ebuchu Emmanuel of Serere in Soroti District. Mr Emmanuel succumbed to HIV/ AIDS. Surviving are four children, of which Joyce is the second last child.

The mother of these children is quite weak on ARVs, the medication for Aids. She is unable to raise the tuition money for Joyce to attend university.

Joyce urgently needs financial assistance of $1700 (USD) over her three remaining semesters (one and a half years). This translates to $570 per semester, or $95 each month.

Joyce is already accepted and admitted for the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, in the Makerere University Business School.

Are you able to step in and give this great Christian girl, and a friend of the Oyako's daughter Liz, a helping hand? It must be a difficult position to be in, to lose your father, and then not be able to finish your education. Especially since that training will allow her to get a good job, so that she can support her mother.

In Uganda the new school year starts in January. It is crucial that this help, or a contribution to it comes quickly!
